Patreli Partners has once again shown her support for the game of cricket in aligning with the Nigeria Cricket Federation’s objective of increasing the number of female players in the country. In partnership with the Edo State Cricket Association (ESCA) the 4th edition of the Patreli Secondary School Girls’ Competition was held between Monday 16th to Friday 20th May 2022. The tournament which featured eight schools witnessed Iyoba College Benin City emerge as champions, as they defeated Glorious Crown Group of Schools.
A major high light of the event was the first time participation of Christ-like Secondary School (IDP Camp). In an interview with the Nigerian Observer News, Mrs. Obosa Akpata; the founding partner of Patreli Partners; a law firm and sponsor of the female competition, expressed that;
“It is encouraging to see the number of girls taking up the game of cricket and the improvement in the standard of play over the years. I am particularly excited that the girls have also imbibed the values of excellence, respect, integrity and team work that the game projects”.
The firm looks forward to continued sponsorship of the event that has seen players in past editions go on to play for the Nigeria Female Senior team.
